How hard are the kits to install?

 

The kits have everything you need to install SYNC 2 into your vehicle. They are easy to install and most can be done in less than 30 minutes. 

 

What is the difference between Navigation and Non-Navigation models?

 

Navigation models come with factory Navigation from Ford. That is the only difference. Both models allow you to use CarPlay and Android Auto. 

 

Can I add HD radio with this kit?

 

No. HD radio is only turned on and off with the APIM. The ACM (radio head unit) is what determines if HD radio is available. If you replace the ACM with an HD radio model it can be added. 

 

Can I use my existing screen from my SYNC 2 system?

 

No, the screens are very different and not compatible. 

 

Do I need FORSCAN to install these kits?

 

The only time you should need FORSCAN is for the 4" to 8" upgrade. The ACM must also be programmed and has to be done by the owner. This does require a Windows computer. 

 

Is shipping free?

 

Yes, shipping is always free with USPS Prioirty Mail. 

 

Does this kit offer wireless CarPlay?

 

No, SYNC 3 does not natively have wireless CarPlay. It can be added with an aftermarket adapter.
